Hi, I'm Jacquie, the Person Behind Business Alchymie
I've spent over 40 years working in bookkeeping, payroll and business management, as well as running businesses of my own.
And if there's one thing I've learned, it's that running a business is rarely as straightforward as it looks from the outside!
There are customers to look after, staff to manage, suppliers to pay, cash flow to think about and decisions to make. Somewhere amongst all that, you're also supposed to find time to keep your accounts up to date.
I've experienced the realities of running businesses myself, which is why I understand that the figures on a spreadsheet only tell part of the story.
I enjoy getting to know the people behind the businesses I work with. I want to understand what they do, how their business operates, what they're trying to achieve and where they might need a little extra support.
Because sometimes the most valuable thing isn't another report - it's having someone who understands your business and can help you make sense of what's happening.
My aim is simple: to be more than your bookkeeper. I want to be someone you can rely on, who understands your business and helps you move it forward.

Why I Created Business Alchymie
Over the years, I've seen businesses work incredibly hard, generate plenty of sales and still struggle to understand where their money is going.
I've also seen business owners putting off their bookkeeping because they're too busy, unsure where to start or worried about what they might discover.
And sometimes, even when the accounts are completely up to date, the business owner still doesn't really know what the numbers are telling them.
That's where Business Alchymie comes in.
I wanted to create a bookkeeping and business support service that goes beyond simply processing paperwork.
A service where business owners feel comfortable asking questions, where financial information is explained in plain English and where there's no judgement if things have fallen behind.
Because you shouldn't need to be an accountant to understand how your own business is performing.
